a. Many KeyToss services are available to use anonymously without registration. We will still store your settings so that you can customize the portal to your needs, and so that we can analyze usage of our service.
b. Some KeyToss services, generally those that involve uploading data to our servers or that have the potential to use significant resources, require registration. Registration also allows you to login and share settings on multiple devices.
c. To register an account, you only need a valid email address and a username. We do not ask for your real name, address, or any other personal information. You can select a username which is completely unrelated to your real identity.
d. Some services, such as hotel reservations, may require personal information including name and payment information. KeyToss does not store this information unless you specifically request it.
a. You can customize most services, and all the settings are stored on our servers.
b. We use cookies to track user sessions, and to receive user input on some pages in order to minimize server connections for mobile devices.
c. We use cookies to track usage of certain links in aggregate. Any such data cannot be traced back to individual users.
d. Your browser sends information to our server when requesting each webpage. Some information, such as browser type, ip address, and referral string, are stored with your account information.
e. We log each server transaction for at least three months to analyze usage and identify any problems.
f. We store transaction logs related to financial transactions and emails for at least 18 months.
g. Some KeyToss services allow you to store files on our servers. We do not have access to the contents of your files, but we do log data such as filename and file size.
h. You may request that we close your account by sending us an email at info@keytoss.com. After confirming your request by email, we will delete your personal account data and settings, including credit card information. But we will retain personal email communications, server logs, and logs of any financial transactions.
a. We do not sell or rent your email address to anyone.
b. We do not give access to our databases to anyone outside KeyToss.
c. However, when you use a service on KeyToss that is provided by a third party, information for that specific transaction is sent to that third party, in most cases without any identifying information. For example, if you use the translation service, the text that you submit is sent to a third-party translation provider to be translated before being returned to you. This third-party provider gets no other information about you - unless you choose to display the translation as an image; because the image is generated and hosted by the translation provider, it can receive your ip address and headers that your browser sends to any website.
d. If you book a hotel through KeyToss, we will transmit your payment information and booking details to Hotels.com, which may, in turn, transmit this data to the hotel. Hotels.com and the hotels have their own separate privacy policies which we do not control.
e. We may have to share data to comply with a court order, or other legal process.
f. Search engine "crawlers" do not have access to your personal settings or data.
g. If KeyToss is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of some or all of its assets, we will ensure the confidentiality of your personal information and provide notice before that information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
a. These firms do not have access to your personal data on KeyToss.
b. They may collect information such as your ip address or other information that your browser sends to websites.
c. They may also place cookies on your browser to track responses to ads.
d. While we don't have direct control over how these firms operate, we allow ads only from reputable agencies with clearly stated privacy policies, such as Google or AdMob.
a. Certain KeyToss pages are transmitted securely using SSL. These include login, registration, password change, file transfer, secure wallet, and hotel booking.
b. For credit cards, we do not store expiration dates or security values. Your billing address is encrypted on a secure server behind a firewall, and is password protected. Your credit card number is protected with an asymmetric key pair, and the decryption key never exists on our web server. When you authorize a transaction, the card number remains encrypted and is transmitted to a secure gateway server which is not accessible via the public web.
a. You may opt out of marketing emails on the Preferences page.
b. We reserve the option of sending you notices related to the maintenance of your account. These include validating your email address, allowing you to reset your password, and announcing changes in KeyToss legal disclosures.
